At NoorulQuran, Tajweed is an essential part of Quran learning. Rather than teaching it as a completely separate subject for everyone, we introduce and practise Tajweed step by step according to each student’s level and learning goals

Building the BasicsStudents learn the foundations of correct pronunciation, letter sounds, and introductory Tajweed rules while developing their Quran reading skills.
Quran Reading (Nazirah)
Applying TajweedAs students begin reading the Quran, teachers help them apply Tajweed rules in actual recitation. Regular reading practice, correction, and revision help improve accuracy and fluency.
Independent Quran Reading
Learning What Matters MostStudents are taught the essential Tajweed knowledge needed to read the Quran correctly on their own. Our aim is to help them recognise and apply the necessary rules rather than simply memorise their names.
Hifz
Advanced Recitation PracticeFor students pursuing Quran memorisation, Tajweed learning goes further. Alongside more advanced Tajweed rules, students practise the Sifaat al-Huroof (characteristics of Arabic letters) and Maqamat (melodic patterns of Quran recitation), where appropriate, to develop more refined and confident recitation.
Our Teaching Approach
Every student learns at a different pace. Tajweed instruction is integrated into the student's Quran journey so that correct recitation develops alongside reading fluency and memorisation.
